Bugs
There are so many flies and other bugs in India. I guess it's the climate. The UK/Michigan/Colorado are generally colder, so the bugs die. Here is a fruit stall in the street with a load of bugs eatting the fruit. I wonder if they ever sell any to people.

It's kind of hard to see, but all the black spots on the watermellon are flies and bees.

Cockroach
The other night we had a comedy moment in our flat; it was like out of a TV show. We all went to bed and I heard Jenny watching something on her computer so I snuck out of my room into the hallway to see if she was still awake. I was walking slowly towards her room when I saw a big bug crawling on the floor from Susan's side of the hall towards Jenny's room; I froze and didn't know what to do. I whispered 'Jenny, there's a big bug crawling towards your room' and knocked on her door. Susan's light turned on and she came running out of her room with a shoe in her hand ready to attack this bug. We cornered it from three sides and Susan threw the shoe on it. I've never seen a cockroach before, and I guess this was a pretty big one too. Here's the aftermath

Susan said 'That's India for you.' I hope we don't have any more of those in the house.

Weird Things
My sister Valerie asked me to start a new blog of weird stuff in India, so here it is. Some of these things might not be weird to Indian people, but probably will be for western people. I've also decided to expand 'weird' to include 'interesting' and 'cute' and 'anything i feel like posting' ;-). Hope you like it!
